Wangchuan Festival

The Wangchuan Festival is a major folk ritual in southern coastal Taiwan. Devotees build a large wooden boat for the Plague King and hold a send-off ceremony, praying for peace and protection. This festival combines religion, craftsmanship, and community, and is an important intangible cultural heritage of Taiwan.
